The combined experience of Drs. Ali Ismail and Carla Ismail represents decades of skilled dentistry, which means superior diagnostics and fantastic outcomes for patients just like you.
Dr. Ali Ismail
Dr. Ali is a native to the Canton area and obtained his DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy.
He enjoys caring for patients in his community, where he has been practicing his entire career. Dr. Ali enjoys getting to know each patient and developing long-lasting relationships. He prides himself on being especially good with patients who have dental anxiety. Over the years Dr. Ali has obtained advanced training in dental implants, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He enjoys being able to provide patients with comprehensive treatment all under the same roof.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ali enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Carla, and three children Zayn, Nora, and Jude. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, and all things related to being in the great outdoors as well.
Dr. Carla Ismail
Dr. Carla was born and raised in Michigan and obtained her DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy.
She is a caring dentist who uses only the most advanced materials and procedures available. She practices comfortable, health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each patient. Dr. Carla is an Invisalign certified provider and looks forward to offering cosmetic and orthodontic services to patients.
At home, she likes to spend time with her husband, Dr. Ali, and three children Zayn, Nora, and Jude. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.
Heather
Dental Assistant
Heather is a Garden City native and joined Sheldon Family Dental in 2014 as one of our dental assistants. She assists both Dr. Ali and Dr. Carla in all types of dental procedures, ensuring that patients feel well-cared for.
"I enjoy making patients feel comfortable when they come in for dental procedures. I know that the dental office can be a scary place for some people. I make sure they know they are in the best hands with our dentists here."
When Heather is enjoying her free time, you can usually find her with her eight-year-old son, Brycen, at his many sporting events like football games.
Justine
Dental Hygienist
Justine grew up nearby in Plymouth and joined Sheldon Family Dental in 2019 as our dental hygienist. She works with patients to keep their teeth and gums healthy and provides gentle dental cleanings that make patients smile.
“Being a dental hygienist has been a goal of mine since childhood. I am extremely passionate about helping to create happy and healthy smiles! Focusing on preventive dental care and patient education is what I love most about my job. I also enjoy building lasting relationships with our patients.”
When Justine is away from the dental office, she is usually spending time with her family and her dog Piper. She also loves exploring flea markets, watching a good movie, and traveling.
Lori
Front Desk Coordinator
Lori has been gracing the front desk position with her knowledge and kindness since 1999. She helps patients schedule appointments that work for them, works with insurance companies, and generally makes sure everyone has what they need for a successful visit.
Lori is married to Mike, and together, they have four children and two cats. Passionate about fitness, you can find Lori bicycling on Hines Drive almost every weekend. She completed her first triathlon in 2008 and continues to run marathons across the state.
Rachel
Dental Assistant
Rachel assists both Dr. Ali and Dr. Carla in all types of dental procedures. Her experience makes her an invaluable part of the dental team. She’s been with the practice since 1995!
Known for her great rapport with patients, you can often hear her having a laugh during dental visits.
Rachel enjoys crafts, especially sewing. She has two children and three dogs who keep her busy in her spare time. She’s also a huge Detroit Tigers fan.
Stefanie
Dental Hygienist
Stefanie earned her dental hygiene degree and joined the Sheldon Family Dental practice in 2020
